Conveniently located across from the Golden One Center and overlooking the Downtown Commons Plaza, Polanco Cantina is a vibrant, open-air Mexican restaurant and neighborhood bar in downtown Sacramento.

Inspired by and named after a thriving district in Mexico City, Polanco celebrates Mexico’s cuisine and Sacramento’s diverse culinary scene. Polanco’s menu features Mexican-inspired familiar favorites prepared with local seasonal ingredients. The restaurant offers a lively bar scene featuring top-notch tequilas, craft cocktails and signature frozen margaritas, best enjoyed on our expansive outdoor patio.

A bold and timeless design by August Studio and an original mural by Mexico-based urban artist Senkoe complete the Polanco dining experience.

Polanco is the perfect gathering place for pre-game fun, post-event drinks or bites with friends any day of the week in a fun and casual atmosphere.

Nacimiento de las Flores

Our mural titled “Nacimiento de las Flores” or “Birth of the Flowers” was designed especially for Polanco and painted by Senkoe, a Mexico native muralist specializing in narrative graffiti aimed to stimulate the imagination of the viewer. “Nacimiento de las Flores” depicts an allegory for the Aztec flower goddess, Xochiquetzal. The mural tells a story of a fantasy world, in which creation is the principal element, and time and love are universal elements that connect us all. We invite you to create your own story next time you visit us and view the mural.
